Аннотация

Communicative approach focuses on preparing students for real-life situations rather than learning language only as grammar and vocabulary. This approach allows students to develop speaking skills, express their thoughts and establish effective communication with other communication participants. Introduction

The importance of the communicative approach in teaching speech acts in English is of great importance in the modern education system. This approach focuses on students’ activation of the language and its use in real communication contexts. In the process of teaching speech acts, students learn not only grammar and vocabulary, but also learn to express their thoughts, communicate with other people, and respond appropriately in various situations[1].

The communicative approach also helps students to take cultural and social contexts into account, which leads to the improvement of their language skills. Teachers, in turn, encourage students to actively participate and prepare them for real-life situations. Thus, the communicative approach makes the language learning process more effective and interesting.

Of course, the communicative approach is very important in teaching speech acts in English. This approach helps students learn the language practically, develop communication skills and use it effectively in different contexts[2].

  1. Development of practical skills

The communicative approach encourages students to use speech acts in real-life situations. Through this, they will have the opportunity to strengthen basic skills such as listening, speaking, reading and writing.

  1. Motivation and interest

Conducting lessons through interesting and practical exercises for students increases motivation. Communication-based activities, role plays and group discussions will further engage students in language learning.

  1. Cultural context

Speech acts are expressed differently in each culture. Through a communicative approach, students will have the opportunity to understand the differences between Uzbek and English cultures and develop communication skills accordingly[3].

  1. Critical thinking

A communicative approach to teaching speech acts teaches students to think critically and evaluate different opinions. This, in turn, helps them express their thoughts clearly and logically.

Conclusion

The communicative approach plays an important role in teaching speech acts in English. This approach not only promotes language learning, but also develops communication, cultural understanding, and critical thinking skills. Therefore, teachers should implement this approach in their lessons.
