Structural and semantic features and polysemy of Russian phraseological units in the cognitive aspect

Abstract

The article discusses phraseological combinations, their functions, semantic features and meanings in the Russian language system. Phraseological combinations represent not only a peculiar national and cultural layer of the language, they reflect the worldview of a given society, consolidate certain knowledge about the world around them, transfer life experience from generation to generation, cultural and historical traditions of the people. Phraseological phrases have characteristic features and features that are recognized by most scientists.
