Analysis of terms from other languages in the Uzbek language

Abstract

This scientific article provides an in-depth analysis of the historical development of terms borrowed into the Uzbek language from other languages, their formation, phonetic and morphological adaptation, semantic changes, sociolinguistic factors, and standardization processes within the framework of state language policy, as well as the influx of modern English terminology. The article examines the linguistic features of terms borrowed from Arabic, Persian-Tajik, Russian, and English, based on scientific analysis. It also presents analytical conclusions regarding the rapid transformation of terminology and the influx of new terms in the era of modern information technologies. Language is one of the most important social institutions of society and serves as the primary means of communication. The vocabulary of any language continuously expands throughout its historical development, and the Uzbek language is no exception. For centuries, the territory of Uzbekistan has been a space of interaction among various cultures, religions, political systems, and scientific centers. As a result, a significant number of mixed, borrowed, and partially borrowed terms have entered the Uzbek language. In the context of globalization, the influx of terminology has intensified even further. The development of science, technology, the internet, politics, economics, marketing, sociology, and other fields leads to the introduction of thousands of new terms into the Uzbek language each year.
