Abstract
This article analyzes the psycholinguistic essence of developing students’ oral speech competence. It highlights the psychological and linguistic mechanisms of speech activity, particularly the role of perception, memory, thinking, motivation, and language units in the speech production process. The study also examines the significance of the psycholinguistic approach in the formation of students’ communicative competence, the factors influencing the development of oral speech, and effective pedagogical methods. The findings indicate that taking psycholinguistic factors into account in the process of developing oral speech competence contributes to improving the effectiveness of education.
