Developing linguistic competence in preschool children through simultaneous translation of cartoons

Abstract

This article analyzes the significance of simultaneous translation of cartoons in developing linguistic competence in preschool children. In today’s era of rapid globalization, real-time translation is presented as a key factor in creating a rich linguistic environment for fostering bilingualism in children. The research highlights the role of simultaneous translation in expanding children’s vocabulary, improving grammatical literacy, and enhancing cognitive abilities, particularly logical thinking and focus, through scientific evidence. The article emphasizes the role of modern media platforms such as Netflix and various technological tools in language learning, as well as how the positive approach of parents and educators can unlock a child’s linguistic potential. Additionally, potential challenges such as language mixing (code-switching) and methods to overcome them are examined. Integrating cultural context into the translation process is proven to serve as a vital bridge in understanding the nuances of language. In conclusion, it is noted that when simultaneous translation is harmonized with traditional methods, it can lead to revolutionary results in bilingual education.
