Abstract
This article conducts a comparative linguistic exploration of how festive culture is verbalized and interpreted within the context of German and Uzbek cultural frameworks. The research systematically examines holiday lexicon, phraseological resources, semantic fields, and symbolic expressions in close correlation with ethnocultural values, historical experiences, and social practices. The findings rigorously demonstrate that language performs highly differentiated functions in the nominalization of festive concepts, the configuration of their semantic and pragmatic connotations, and the transmission of cultural codes. Specifically, in Uzbek linguoculture, the holiday lexicon predominantly reflects collective values and sociocultural rituals, whereas in German tradition, holidays are linguistically constructed through the lens of social order, seasonal cycles, and historical frameworks. The identified discursive discrepancies foster a profound comprehension of intercultural communication complexities and pose significant theoretical and practical value for translation studies and comparative linguistics.
